Cole Alvis

Cole Alvis est un artiste de théâtre métchif (métis) basé à Tkarón:to, d’origine chippewa, irlandaise et anglaise, originaire de Turtle Mountain. Ielle est un leader chez lemonTree creations, manidoons collective et Ad Hoc Assembly, en plus d’avoir dirigé l’Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance de 2013 à 2017. Récemment, Ielle a joué dans Louis Riel (Canadian Opera Company/National Arts Centre) et a mis en scène bug de Yolanda Bonnell (manidoons collective/Luminato).  À l’automne 2019, Cole mettait en scène Two Odysseys: Pimooteewin/Gállábártnit aux côtés de Michael Greyeyes, un opéra autochtone en programme double, de Tomson Highway (Cri) et Rawdna Carita-Eira (Sami), produit par Signal Theatre et Soundstreams Canada.

Recently, they performed in Louis Riel (Canadian Opera Company / National Arts Centre) and directed bug by Yolanda Bonnell (manidoons collective / Luminato). In the fall of 2019, Cole co-directed alongside Michael Greyeyes Two Odysseys: Pimooteewin / Gállábártnit an Indigenous opera double bill by Tomson Highway (Cree) and Rawdna Carita-Eira (Sami), produced by Signal Theatre and Soundstreams Canada.
