Biographie

Troy Emery Twigg est acteur, danseur, metteur en scène, chorégraphe et dramaturge de danse, en plus d’être l’un des premiers visionnaires et artistes fondateurs de l’événement théâtral révolutionnaire Making Treaty 7. Il est co-metteur en scène de la version du Young People’s Theatre, intitulée We Are All Treaty People, et collaborateur du projet de marionnettes Iinisikimm avec Old Trouts. Il a aussi été cocommissaire d’une exposition intitulée By Invitation Only: Dance, Confederation and Reconciliation pour Dance Collection Danse et a récemment joué dans Sal Capone: The Lamentable Tragedy of d’Omari Newton au Centre national des Arts. Plus récemment, il a travaillé avec Waawaate Fobister sur la création de son projet solo, Omaagomaan.

Troy Emery Twigg works as an actor, dancer, director, choreographer and dance dramaturg. Troy was one of the original visionaries and founding artists of the groundbreaking Making Treaty 7 theatrical event. He is co-director for the young people’s theatre version titled We Are All Treaty People and a collaborator of the Iinisikimm puppet project with Old Trouts. He co-curated an exhibition called By Invitation Only: Dance, Confederation and Reconciliation for Dance Collection Danse. Recently acted in Omari Newton’s Sal Capone: The Lamentable Tragedy of, at the National Arts Centre. He is currently working with Waawaate Fobister in his new solo Omaagomaan premiering in the fall of this year.
